About the J/99
The J/99 is a high-performance racer-cruiser that combines speed, balance, and comfort. Designed for both inshore and offshore sailing, it offers a versatile, well-equipped interior and award-winning performance for double-handed or small-crew racing.
Objects of the Class
- To promote the building and racing of the J/99 in the UK.
- To preserve the J/99 as a competitive IRC and ORC inshore/offshore design.
- To protect affordability by safeguarding residual value and limiting costly optimisations.
- To organise and promote J/99 racing throughout the UK.
- Associate membership is open to individuals racing J99. Associate members may not vote or hold office.
- Full Membership is open to J99 Owners, co-owners, and skippers chartering a J99.
- A member shall cease to be a member when they cease owning, chartering or racing a J99.
- Sponsoring Membership is open to individuals, companies and corporations that provide a product and/or services to the class. Sponsoring members may not vote or hold office.
- All members agree to be bound by this constitution.
- This constitution can be varied by majority vote.
